Updates:

If you would like to donate supplies for my classroom I would be forever grateful! Click on the link here and you will find my Wish List on Amazon. Everything is already set up to be shipped to the school address! Feel free to choose a different brand of any of the items as well. I’m not picky. 🙂 THANK YOU to those who have donated already! I appreciate YOU!

Science and STEM-fest:

I have been getting students signed up for science fair and STEM-fest. By the end of the day today every student will have had the opportunity to choose their topic or challenge. The next step in the process will be to complete Background Research. I will give them the information and directions they will need to complete it during class. Here is the link to the website which is a one-stop-shop for all of your Science Fair or STEM questions!

What We are Learning:

7th Grade: They have been learning about Newton’s 2nd Law and how the mass, force ,and acceleration of an object are all dependent on each other. Next week they will learn about Newton’s 3rd Law and start a mini-project!

8th Grade: Students have been researching alternative resources and will be presenting their findings to the class this week. Next week they will have a test and then we will move on to another unit!

Psychology: Students have been learning about how our brains perceive what we sense in the world. Our perception becomes our reality so it’s important to understand how our brain perceives the world around us.

Forensics: Students have been learning about trace evidence and will learn about arson and how forensic science can be used to distinguish between intentional and accidental fires.
