Kasperson Week 8

In Forensics, Psychology, Science - 7th Grade, Science - 8th Grade

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you are all doing well! I can’t believe we are almost done with quarter one!

Updates:

REMINDER: Students are welcome to correct any classwork to improve their grade except for bellwork, tests, and quizzes. They can earn ½ a point back for every point corrected. I would HIGHLY recommend this to improve grades!

What We are Learning:

7th Grade: We have been talking about parts of the cell and they will start a fun project! Today I turned the classroom into a “Cell-bucks” as they compared cells and their functions to the many functions within a coffee shop. It was fun!

8th Grade: Students have been learning about non-Mendelian traits and put it into practice with their Monster Lab. Next week they will be discussing ethics and genetics.

Psychology: Students have begun learning about the nervous system and brain scans. Next week they will learn more about the parts of the brain and their functions.

Forensics: Students have been learning about interviewing suspects and sketching potential suspects. Next week they will learn about physical evidence and how it is collected.

What Has Mrs. Kasperson Been Up To?

Each week I will share a quick video of what I have been up to besides teaching/prepping! I hope it inspires everyone to take some breaks, get away from the screens, and do what fuels YOU! If you need any suggestions, you can steal any of my ideas. 🙂

Here’s the list so far:

  • Cook
  • Play an instrument
  • Eat some frozen yogurt and watch the sunset!
  • Go for a walk
  • Do a workout! (Youtube is a great place to start!)
  • Play basketball
  • Bike Ride
